The Dapto Seniors' walking group's first walk of 2012 will be on Friday 27th January along the Kokoda Memorial Walkway at Rhodes. It is a fairly flat, easy walk of about 2.75Km in total. The walk follows the Parramatta River through Rhodes Park and memorials along the walk denote events that occurred on the notorious Kokoda track in Papua New Guinea in World War 2 when Australian Troops inflicted the first defeat on the invading Japanese army.
At the end of the walk we will cut back to Rhodes shopping centre where we will have lunch in the food court of the local mall (though you are welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer) before catching a train back to Sydney and home.
As usual we will meet at Dapto Station in the waiting room at 7.40am to catch the 7.55am Sydney train. If you are late we will be downstairs in the second carriage. See you then.

New Leader Needed
The Walking Group needs a new leader. After years of sterling effort Ron can no longer lead the group. Until a new leader(s) is/are found then the group will continue on an ad hoc basis. Please consider giving up one day a fortnight it really is a lot of fun.
