Bus Trips

The next bus trip is to Cobbitty Winery and Warragamba Dam followed by lunch at The Campbelltown Catholic Club. Cost is only $12 and tickets are selling fast, this trip is very popular.

The trip is on Monday, 6th August and the bus leaves the Heininger House car park at 8.15am.

Birthday Lunch

Just a reminder that the lunch will be held at Kembla Grange Golf Club – unfortunately this was forced upon us by Dapto Leagues Club but no matter what the lunch will be a lot of fun for everyone. The date is still the same – 2nd August 2018 - only the venue has changed.

Tickets are still on sale at only $20 – see Jackie to get yours.

AGM

The club’s AGM is to be held on 9th August 2018. All committee positions will be declared vacant. Nomination forms are still available at the signing table.

Change of Venue for Lunch

Birthday Lunch

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the venue for the Birthday Lunch on 2nd August has been changed to the Kembla Grange Golf Club.

This was not our decision but forced on us by Dapto Leagues Club at very short notice - they have obviously had a better offer for the Sinclair Room.

The date and time remain the same only the venue has changed.

Date: 2nd August 2018
Time: 11.30am for Noon
Place: Kembla Grange Golf Club

If you don't already have your ticket to the lunch they will still be available at the next meeting on the 26th July - still only $20 for an excellent two course meal.

Christmas Lunch

Just a reminder that we had to move our Christmas Lunch to Friday, 14th December 2018 for a similar reason. Don’t forget to change the date on your membership card.

Guest Speaker

At this meeting we are fortunate enough to have a speaker from the Nurses Federation who will be talking to us about Nursing Homes. She will address the many issues which people need to investigate when considering entering a nursing home.

Members will be able to ask questions. The committee is sure that members will find this speaker very interesting and informative having heard her speak at the CPSA Annual Conference last year. Make sure you attend and have your questions ready.

The meeting usually finishes between 11 and 11.30am.

New members are most welcome to come along and find out about the club, there is a short newsletter available for new or potential members at the raffle/signing in table which details coming events and contact details for the various group leaders. Please take one.

AGM

Just a reminder - Our AGM will be held on the 9th August 2018 before our usual meeting. Nomination forms are available at the signing in table. Consider volunteering to help your club prosper.

Bus Trips

The next bus trip is to Cobbitty and Warragamba. An old favourite – stock up with quality wine at ridiculously low prices, then marvel at the views and enjoy the exhibition at Warragamba Dam visitor centre before taking lunch at the wonderful Campbelltown Catholic Club (unfortunately lunch is not included in the ticket price).

Tickets will be on sale at this meeting for a mere $12. Get in early to enjoy the trip.

HARS Museum

Our last bus trip to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society was enjoyed by all who attended.

This is just a small selection of the aircraft that members saw and entered on their guided tour. The tour guide was very good, telling the party just enough to maintain their interest and answering many questions - it was a great visit and we highly recommend it to other groups.
